Become a Member of the Vermont Federal Women's Network
March 31, 2016
It has been another great year for the Vermont Federal Women’s Network (VFWN). We have grown significantly in memberships, continued to collaborate with the VTFEA, and maintained our positive presence within our federal community and within our local communities by offering personal and professional development opportunities and community service throughout this past year. These events and opportunities truly represent the core of our mission and we continue to gain momentum in this truly rewarding endeavor.
To ensure the continuing success of the VFWN, we would like to take this opportunity to invite current VFWN members to renew their membership for the 2016 membership year (May 1 to April 30), as well as to invite interested Federal Employees to join. Your annual membership dues of $25.00 allows us to continue to present free or minimal cost events and activities to our members and to sponsor our Annual Training Workshops, as we receive no funding from the Government.
Your membership in the VFWN provides the following benefits:
Free or discounted entry into all VFWN events
Each month there are at least two events offered, one focused on professional development and one “fun” event focused on personal interests of the members
The events provided are based on the interests and suggestions of members
Up to 25% discount on the annual Vermont Federal Women’s Training Workshop
Opportunity to network, socialize, and build relationships with professional women and others from many federal agencies throughout our region
Some of the events the VFWN has hosted this past year with great success include:
Social Security – Beyond the Basics
truED through Champlain College
Personal Development/Interest Events:
Clean Up Your Eating
What Happens After the Paychecks Stop?
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
We already have many exciting events planned for the upcoming months, and we hope that you will renew or join us for 2016. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding membership at firstname.lastname@example.org.
